Today we tell you about the wedding of this funny couple who got married in October 2020, in the middle of the pandemic. Despite the uncertainty caused by the continuous change in preventive measures against the coronavirus, Lara & Alfonso said “I do”. A clear sign that love can deal with everything.
They got engaged in Mexico, and when they arrived in Spain they began with the wedding preparations. However, in March Covid19 arrived and the world came to a standstill. Confinement, postponed events, social distance, masks, capacity limitation. In short, very hard months that we all remember, but that for our couple were a challenge. Thanks to the affection of their relatives and their love, they continued with the organization of their wedding, more excited than ever.
As Lara tells us, “we had it clear that we wanted to go forward, our family supported us in our decision, and this fact motivated us to continue at all times. And despite all the uncertainty experienced in the previous months due to the pandemic, we have reached our big day ”.
Another consequence of the pandemic has been that many workers have been forced to be in ERTE, as happened to Lara & Alfonso, but for them it was fortunate, since they were able to dedicate themselves in body and soul to preparing every detail of the ceremony and banquet. And as Lara points out, “every cloud has a silver lining”. Lara tells us that, “the ceremony was prepared by us, word for word, it was noticeable in the atmosphere that we all really wanted this moment to come.”
For the choice of her wedding dress, Lara was accompanied by the people who know her best and always advise her, namely her mother, her sister, her mother-in-law and her sister-in-law. The bride arrived with very clear ideas at our Fuente Palmera store.
“I had very clear the style I liked, in fact, it was the first time that I tried on a wedding dresses. All the dresses that I have chosen were in boho style. I also gave the opportunity to two different ones, but… I hadn’t even finished buttoning my dress up, when I sensed that it was not mine ”.
The first wedding dress that Lara tried on was the Camile model by Valerio Luna. She was captivated by its back, however she did not feel that tingling that floods you when you know that something is made for you. Thus, she tried on several more wedding dresses, the colleague who attended her showed her the Oriana model by Manu García, but at that precise moment another bride, who was getting married the same day as Lara, had just bought it, so it was not possible to try it on. Since she was not fully convinced, she decided to leave it there. At HigarNovias we always want to fulfill the dreams of our brides, so we never give up. “The girl who attended me, great by the way, came back with the Oriana model and told me that the wedding was in Córdoba and I was from Seville, so I tried it on, and I said … now, this is my dress. And if we could change the back for that of the first one, the Camile model, it would be the one of my dreams ”. Lara felt an accumulation of sensations, nerves and happiness, “when my mother saw me she knew perfectly well that it was the perfect dress for me.” And this was how the personalized and exclusive wedding dress for Lara was born.
Alfonso also visited us at Fuente Palmera, on the same day, although separately of course, as tradition dictates. Our handsome groom, he chose an elegant Roberto Vicentti morning suit in a bluish tone.
In the months prior to the marriage, our couple had a hard time, even the week before the best day of their lives, as the restrictions changed, and the capacity to attend an event was reduced, “this was a jug of cold water, already we had to say no to 40 guests who had confirmed us their assistance, even so we were lucky because we were able to celebrate it with 150 people. As there was no mobility limitation, my best friends, who came each from a different place, were able to be by my side”, recalls excitedly our bride.
And as if that were not enough for them, for October the 3rd, the day of the wedding of Lara & Alfonso, the weather forecasts gave 90% rain. However, luck was back on their side as “the weather changed and the rain and the wind decided to take a day off on our wedding date. It was a splendid day, an ideal temperature and not a single cloud in the sky”.
They both felt very calm on their big day, “perhaps because until we got to Hacienda La Caridad, we didn’t believe what we really were going to do on that day, after so much struggle and suffering,” Lara tells us. The ceremony was very emotional and the bride, the groom and the guests had a great time.
Our couple loves to travel, so everything was infused with that enthusiasm. “We decided to share that passion with all our people, with a phrase that was our slogan and accompanied us in all the details: “The best is yet to travel.”
Despite all the inconveniences, this brave couple would remarry as they did, “it was the best day of our life, when there is love and desire, everything is possible (even if there is a mask in between)”.
As you can see when you read the words of our real bride, Lara, anything is possible, even in the middle of a pandemic, because love has no limits. We must continue to maintain the excitement and live the life, even if it is the one that we live now. Let’s celebrate it because we’ll only experience it once.
Our most sincere congratulations to this adventurous and courageous couple. For many years of happiness.
