How to celebrate your wedding with the end of the state of alarm

With the end of the state of alarm, sanitary restrictions to celebrate the weddings have been lowered. It makes all of us, especially the companies that are dedicated to the bridal sector, very happy.

All the Autonomous Communities have already announced the new limitations that, being less restrictive, always take into account the cumulative incidence of each area, so the measures are permanently updated.

Data that you must take into account when organizing your wedding is the maximum capacity allowed and the security measures to be taken on the date of the wedding. Therefore we advise you that, in order to comply with current legislation on COVID-19, you inform yourself in detail by reading the official regulations of your Autonomous Community.

In weddings in Spain, the measures are relaxed: the capacity is increased, there are fewer limitations for the mobility of your guests and the curfew has been eliminated. Still, as the celebrations are held in spaces with hotel and restaurant activity, the banquet must end at one o’clock in the morning, without any exception.

The maximum capacity allowed varies in function of the alert level of your wedding venue, between level 1 and level 4. To adapt your guest list, we recommend that you consult the restaurant, farm or catering that you have hired, as they will be 100% informed.

Other general measures of a mandatory nature for the celebration of weddings throughout the national territory are the mandatory use of a mask at the ceremony and recommended at the banquet, as long as the drinks or food are not consumed; Maintain a safety distance of 1.5 meters for all the people who are not living together, especially when the mask is not being used.

Constant hand hygiene is necessary in this type of event, because friction with family and friends is inevitable. We recommend placing hydroalcoholic gel dispensers at the entrance and exit of the spaces and on the guests’ tables.

Regarding the number of guests per table, the Government establishes a maximum of 10 people, although some Autonomous Communities reduce this number.

The Government also appeals to the responsibility and consciousness of those attending the weddings, so that everyone complies with these security measures, and thus guarantees a beautiful celebration without incidents or contagions.

With the end of the state of alarm, the pandemic has not ended, unfortunately.

What we are sure of at HigarNovias is that we are closer to achieving it, thanks to vaccination and the good work of everyone of us.

We recommend that for further information or in case of any doubt, you consult the official regulations of your autonomous community.
