The months of April and May are synonymous with spring, flowering, light and meteorological instability, although good weather prevails, and with a very special party for the smallest of the house, the celebration of their first communion.
In 2020 they could not be celebrated because people had to stay at home to contain COVID19, but for this 2021, parishes and Catholic schools announced in autumn the dates of celebration for each child, starting mid-April and throughout the month of May. Thanks to the science and, therefore, to the arrival of the long-awaited vaccines, this year those boys and girls who are educated in Catholicism and who for approximately two years have been preparing themselves to receive the sacrament of the Eucharist, will celebrate their communion more excited than ever.
A few months before, and taking all possible precautions, preparations have begun such as the purchase of the communion dress or suit, booking the place of celebration and the photographic report, or procuring the small gifts that the little ones will give to the guests to remember such a date, always involving the protagonist, because for them it is a long-awaited moment. Despite the fact that we continue to live hard times, because the situation is already dragging on for too long, we must be optimistic for them.
This year, the celebrations are more familiar, in smaller groups, adopting all the safety measures of masks, hygiene and safety distance, but this will not make them less beautiful and emotional. On the contrary, they are lived with greater intensity, because we have to enjoy life.
