Trends in decoration for fall weddings

Autumn is the season of reddish and yellowish tones, dry leaves and a mild climate that gives us evocative landscapes, full of textures and contrasts.

An ideal time to celebrate your wedding is autumn. We also know that in this year 2020, so peculiar because of the circumstances experienced due to COVID19, many couples celebrate their marriage in this wonderful season.

Nowadays, the bride and groom have had to do an extra emotional exercise in order to reorganize all the preparations and adapt them to the “new normality”.

Now let’s say that the “micro-weddings” take place with a smaller number of guests. This will allow you to share your day in a more intimate and intense way. The advantage of this situation is that your wedding will be cheaper, you can spend a little more on your wedding dresses, groom suit and their accessories. You will also be able to take care of every detail and to pamper your select guests.

So, today we bring you autumnal ideas that are a trend to decorate your wedding. If we think of autumn, its colors come to mind, ranging from green to brown, oranges, yellows, reds or garnets. Therefore, if you choose any of those tones, you will ascertain for sure.

Nuts, pomegranates, grapes, pumpkins, pineapples and chestnuts are fruits of this very productive season. Use them as decoration. For example, the table centerpiece could be a nice wide or elongated glass filled with pine cones, nuts and some beautiful dried orange or salmon flowers. Another option could be a refined wicker basket with dried flowers and autumn fruits. It could be perfect as decoration on the tables, or anywhere else in the event.

If you wish to opt for something simpler and more original, in a metal bucket or flowerpot, or in a cute little bag, you can place some sprigs of ears of wheat. Thanks to their shape and their golden color they are ideal, and being a symbol of the abundance, they will bring you luck.

For the welcome area you can create an organic space with recycled elements such as wooden boxes decorated with plants and glass bottles used as a vase with natural flowers, and as a complement some romantic candles. Or you may opt for the combination of lights and balloons – a very, very current trend.

The light will be essential in your wedding. It should be as decorative as it is functional to create an intimate, magical or more festive atmosphere, when the moment so requires.  Ceilings or tunnels created with LED lights, suspended LED bars or the recurring candles are a trend. Chandeliers for more romantic weddings or wicker or bamboo for the more “ecofriendly” or “cottage” style. Vintage light bulbs of different shapes and sizes at different heights for more modern weddings, and microLED light curtains, whose effect fills the celebration with stars.

We hope that these ideas will inspire you to decorate your fall wedding and above all, to put a lot of enthusiasm and fun in the preparations.
